Cellit Launches New and Improved Mobile Marketing Platform, Cellit Studio 3

Chicago, IL, July 14, 2010 – Cellit, a leading provider of mobile marketing solutions, today released its largest overhaul of their core Cellit Studio platform, Cellit Studio 3. Highlighted by a completely redesigned graphic interface, Cellit Studio 3 features new message management and organization options, more complex rules to better segment and target users, and advanced reporting options that significantly improve the user experience.

“This is the most comprehensive redesign of our platform and user interface since its initial release five years ago. The new features are the product of months of dialogue with our customers and partners about their needs and suggestions, as well as some fantastic internally developed ideas,” stated David Wachs, President of Cellit.

The new message management and organization options allow users to organize messages into content categories or by campaign, enabling power users to quickly find and adjust specific campaigns within their program. The new feature is core to the platform’s access control functionality, allowing robust permissioning and control to multi-user Cellit Studio accounts.

Enhancements to the already robust scheduler function improves campaign planning by allowing users to schedule specific dates and times for common campaign tasks, including changing auto-replies at specific times and to sending reporting emails to administrators. Cellit’s reporting engine has now been augmented with dynamic maps that allow users to see key activity—such as subscriber growth, unsubscribes and keyword popularity—aggregated by state and area code.

Cellit’s rules-based campaign launcher has also received upgrades. New rules allow logical groupings, termed “ANDs” and “ORs” by Cellit, which allow unlimited possibilities on targeting and segmenting.

”Cellit Studio has long been the most flexible mobile marketing campaign manager available, ” continued Wachs. “The new additions to the platform enable Cellit to continue maintaining a dominant lead in the space and allow our clients to implement groundbreaking platforms with ease. We are excited to provide all of our Cellit Studio clients access to these advanced new features at no additional charge.”

Cellit Connects to New Carriers: i wireless, Long Lines Wireless & Simmetry Wireless

Cellit announced today the addition of several regional cell phone companies to their growing list of direct carrier connections. Effective April 1, 2010 – Cellit has established SMS connectivity to i wireless of Urbandale, Iowa, Simmetry Wireless of Quincy, Illinois and Long Lines Wireless of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.

“Cellit continually strives for the greatest possible carrier coverage, enabling our clients to reach all mobile subscribers in North America,” stated David Wachs, President of Cellit. “We are pleased to add these carriers to our growing roster of direct connections.”

Cellit has established a two way connection to the three companies, providing full SMS interactivity. Unlike many other mobile marketing providers that service smaller carriers via one-way SMTP connections, Cellit connects to all carriers via the SMPP protocol. SMPP connectivity is required by the Mobile Marketing Association and carriers for compliance, providing the user with total control over the opt-in and opt-out process. For more information about the differences between SMPP and SMTP connections, please visit the Cellit blog at www.cellitmarketing.com/blogs.

“Cellit does significant business with broadcast television stations throughout the Midwest, which provide timely and relevant news and weather updates to their viewers,” continued Wachs. “It is of critical importance that these services are available on the widest possible range of carriers to ensure the alerts can be received. With the addition of i wireless, Simmetry and Long Lines, we take one step closer to realizing our vision of total carrier coverage.”

i wireless is a partnership between T-Mobile USA and Iowa Network Services (INS), primarily serving central and eastern Iowa. Simmetry is a fully owned subsidiary of Adams Telephone Co-Operative, serving the residents of Adams County, Illinois and surrounding areas. Long Lines Wireless serves the Siouxland tri-State area of Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota.

Loyalty Clubs go Mobile with Cellit

(Chicago) Cellit, a leading provider of mobile marketing solutions, announced today updates to their mobile couponing software systems. Core to these new releases is the inclusion of mobile loyalty club functionality. In addition to redeeming text message-based coupons, these solutions allow restaurants and stores to keep track of loyalty “points” with every purchase. Upon reaching specified point totals, special offers and rewards can be delivered to the user’s cell phone. This new loyalty feature is available immediately on the Widgit®, Cellit’s point of sale overlay software, and the iWidgit®, enabling redemption and loyalty tracking from any iPod Touch or iPhone.

Both the Widgit and the iWidgit enable the simple tracking, validation and redemption of mobile coupons, via easy-to-implement solutions. The Widgit installs on any Windows-based point of sale, adding a user-definable hotkey or touch-screen button for coupon redemption. Upon pressing the hotkey, the Widgit appears, allowing the clerk to redeem the coupon and provides feedback, informing the clerk if the coupon is valid or has already been redeemed. After the transaction is complete, the Widgit disappears, minimizing changes to the clerk’s workflow. The Widgit has generated substantial acclaim from Cellit’s clients for requiring no integration with the underlying POS software. The iWidgit, released in early February, provides the same functionality on an iPhone or iPod Touch. Now, both systems also enable loyalty rewards.

“Unlike mobile coupon redemption, which requires a unique coupon code, the loyalty functionality simply requires a phone number,” said David Wachs, President of Cellit. “Every time someone checks out at a store, or finishes their order at a restaurant, the clerk can ask if the customer would like to receive mobile loyalty points. The clerk then simply enters their phone number in the Widgit or iWidgit. If the customer is not currently part of the loyalty program, they will receive a text message asking them to confirm joining, and if they are, they will receive a text notification of the additional loyalty point. The store or restaurant can then use our messaging platforms to deliver offers to customers upon reaching certain point totals.”

The loyalty platform is compatible with Cellit Studio, Cellit’s premier mobile campaign management platform.

“Perhaps the most exciting part of the loyalty functionality is its effect on the growth of the mobile club,” continued Wachs. “With every purchase, the user will be asked to join the mobile club. This constant call to action should greatly accelerate mobile club adoption for our clients. Additionally, unlike punch-card- or stamp-based systems, our mobile loyalty program virtually eliminates the risk of fraud. ”

Cellit currently sees many of its mobile couponing clients experiencing coupon redemption rates of twenty percent or greater. Cellit believes the new loyalty features will grow the pool of redeemers, thereby accelerating the return on investment for its clients.

“The new loyalty features in the Widgit and iWidgit prove how Cellit is on the forefront of practical mobile marketing technology,” Wachs continued. “We pride ourselves on delivering solutions that are simple to integrate into the existing work environment, while providing maximum benefit. We are excited to see the impact this new feature set will have with our customers.”

The Widgit and iWidgit are available for immediate download. To use either, you must have a Cellit Studio account.
